Huxlow Science College is an extremely successful mixed-sex comprehensive school, serving the neighbourhood communities of Finedon, Irthlingborough, Woodford and The Addingtons. Opened in 1961, the College site has been extensively refurbished and developed over the years. To meet the requirements of our Science College Specialist Status, we have invested £180,000 upgrading existing Science Labs and building an additional Science block, containing two new labs and a prep room. ICT has been extended and developed across the College, with upgraded facilities being rolled out on an annual basis. In October 2007, we opened our brand new Sports Hall – all of these developments are having a major impact on the quality of our teaching and learning.
